It was 1998. Pusha was eighteen and his two sons were one years old. He felt like nothing could stop him. Paul on the other hand was happy but he still felt that Pusha was not the one to be on top. He didn’t realize that Pusha was a natural born leader. Pusha was watching his son Duran and Stacey was back to work. He also had been wondering how Monique had been doing. It had been almost four months since he had seen her and Lil Deon. He wanted to call but he decided to let her get her mind together first.
Lameka knew that something had to be up with Gino. It had been four months and she was having bad feelings. Gino left her with his bank account, saving account, trust funds, everything. He even left her with the overseas stash spot hook ups. So the bills were taken care of, she was just laying low playing her position until she got a call.
Pusha had been chilling, laying back getting money. His club was jumping and business was booming. His two sons were healthy so things couldn’t have been better. He was in his office when he decided to call Lameka. She picked up and was not surprised to hear from him. It was a pause for a moment then he said, “Look, baby what’s understood ain’t got to be explained!” Lameka knew what that meant. She just cried a little then he told her to let the cards play out.
Monique was thinking about Pusha every minute, second, day and night. She was still hurt but she knew a man was going to be a man. She knew he meant every word he said about her and his seed. She wasn’t going to wait to be called. Plus she was mad at Stacey because it was fourteen years of friendship.
Summer was riding down MLK when she spotted Pusha in a drop top black 1998 E-Class Benz. He was blowing on a blunt and turning a bottle up. She followed him to his club and then she called KA and Poo Bear. Pusha was riding up MLK from the Knolls towards the eastside to his club to add up his weekly gross. The streets were on lock, club, hoes and Pontiac was on his back. He just paid Elvis and Martinez there $20,000 apiece so everything was up to part. But he had been having a funny feeling lately. He didn’t know what it was about but he knew something wasn’t right. His pops told him a long time ago when he was a kid about Karma. How it’s basic Karma that everything you do you should expect to get caught or caught up.
Pusha tried to strive off the inevitable for as long as he could. Alcohol, weed and sex helped him push the thought to the back of his mind. It seemed like the center of his life was now. He had got to the point all he did was drink, get money, blow and fuck every day.
